3. Who was your first female role model
Definitely my grandmother. She was tough as nails and super smart. She left her small town life in Texas to put herself through school and all the way to Columbia to get a PhD back in the 1930s when there were no women getting such high degrees.
4. What is your favorite color and ice cream
Green and chocolate with brownie chunks
5. Who taught you about life?
My Dad and I have always been really close. He lived many lives before he became my Dad and is a really good story teller. I love listening to his stories and when I was a kid I wanted to have a bunch of stories to tell when I grew up. He and my Mom started following Buddhist teachings when I was an early teen so they raised me to figure out my own morals and never tried to fit me into any sort of society structured box. I didn't do well in school but they refused to let me give up and I'm very thankful for them.
6. How did you get into motorcycling?
I had a few friends with motorcycles but they were all dudes and none of them wanted to teach me anything about it. So I went out and took the motorcycle safety course and bought myself a motorcycle.

Honda Rebel
8. Any tips for people thinking about riding but on the fence?
Sit on a motorcycle, ride cupcake, get someone to teach you or take the course, buy a motorcycle. Keep going till you don't want it anymore. Or don't, that's fine too.
9. How was did the Ladyfingers become a group?
I believe the founding members were just a few ladies who wanted to ride motorcycles with other ladies and wanted to create something so fellow women who ride could come hang out and ride together.
10. What has it taught you and how does it enhance your life?
Women are bad asses. As individuals, everyone found motorcycles and then found the group somehow but they continue to come out and we all support each other. All of them inspire me in some way. They've also taught me a lot about motorcycles in general and took me in basically. When I started riding with them, I was just riding around by myself cause I wanted to but none of my friends wanted to ride with me or be involved in any sort of community. I didn't push myself very far cause I didn't know anything. Then I met them and everyone was immediately so awesome and welcoming. Now they're stuck with me.
11. What does it feel like riding in a pack of ladies
I have a lot of fear and anxiety in general. I build things up to be scarier than they are. Riding with this pack of ladies feels fearless. We can do anything together.
12. What is your favorite thing about motorcycling?
The wind and feeling free and riding with these ladies. Meeting other bad ass ladies that ride. Seeing a side of motorcycle culture that supports women instead of the misogynist stereotype.
13. Is motorcycling just a hobby or is it a a part of your life?
It's definitely a part of my life.
14. What is a dream motorcycle journey?
I just want to be in the mountains and camp as much as possible in my life. So more trips that involve the mountains and motorcycles. Thankfully, the girls like to go on camping trips! I also like to travel and would love to eventually go on a motorcycle trip overseas.

Rachel McAfee, one of the funniest human beings. If she says it's fine, then it's fine!

I look out for my friends like family and try to adventure through life as much as possible.
